EASTER 15

April 2015

A very long Easter weekend

Well happy Easter to every single person who is here right now reading this. With TWO 4 day weeks and a week off next week, plus a birthday and Easter, April is currently my favourite month of the year.

We had a whirlwind of an Easter long weekend, but amongst it all we took time to remember and honour the true reason we celebrate Easter, we are so blessed by His great love and this abundant life.

Last year, we organised a French toast breakfast date on Good Friday because that was the only day we had free for a breakfast date, so naturally we kept up tradition this year and hosted a french toast breakfast date in our loft for Claire and our my family. You can see last years Easter post here.

Here’s our home as of lately..Easter_1

We’re loving watching it grow. French toast in my opinion is best made with sourdough bread, served with berries and icing sugar – so that’s how we had it. Easter_2

Also, JUST put up our wedding photos!    Easter_7

There are more photos than words for this day, I think I prefer pictures anyway. Easter_9

Our breakfast was so beautiful, delicious and enjoyable, here’s a pretty bad picture of everyone but it’s the thought that counts. Easter_10

On Saturday our markets got rained out so we went to visit my Dad at his pop up sourdough stall – his hot cross buns are the best in the world.Easter_13 Easter_14 Easter_11 Easter_12

We also had MC’s side of the family over for dinner and mama Cauchi cooked up a storm. We held an easter egg hunt for the littles, they performed a rendition of “frozen” and we attempted to get a family photo with the self timer!! Easter_saturday_3 Easter_saturday_4 2Easter_saturday_1 Easter_saturday_1

Easter Sunday we celebrated the cross at Church with our family. As part of the service, we had a handpainted cross (painted by my mum actually) and lots of white pencils and the congregation took it in turns to write words of gratitude onto the cross, it was beautiful to see the work of Jesus come to life. A simple, but special statement. So this week, we leave you with an image representing the reason for Easter. Easter_saturday_5

We hope you are happy and well!

Lots of love
