Life as we know it
Our life, at the moment is completely full. As we often say – beautifully full. Yes, it’s full of the things we love & would we have it any other way? Absolutely not. However, we feel like we’re in a stretching season where we are growing every single day, both together and individually. Part of the reason we started blogging and making weekly videos was so that we WOULD stop and take the time to remember these moments and make them special. At the moment, we’re both working full time jobs as well as both pursuing other business ventures, serving on various teams at church as well as running a young adults ministry that seeks to connect and engage the young adults of c3nc.
Anyone in their right mind with our schedule would NOT pursue another creative venture. Making the vlog each week is hard. It is. As much as we’d like to say it’s an easy extension of ourselves, that it takes 10 minutes to edit and film a few clips here and there.. it doesn’t! It takes work. Michael spends 3-4 hours a week editing & we spend a lot of time discussing what type of things we want to show you and where we want to take you. Why do we do it then? Because, we believe wholeheartedly in the stretch & in pushing your creative boundaries so you can grow in your skills and eventually after sometime, your brain just clicks into a new way of seeing and you get used to the push and you’re ready for new growth.
To be honest? Vlogging has been the most rewarding adventure. We’ve had the opportunity to work on many a cool project, from hosting events to designing albums, we’ve been part of so many creative ventures, but there is nothing like re-watching your own week back again and feeling grateful over and over again for the blessings you have.
Friend, if you’re reading this wondering where your creativity went & where your zest for life went. Start something new & stick to it. You might not get many views, you might not get much feedback but the rewards you will receive personally will be endless. We certainly have found great joy in working on a project just because we can!!
In saying that, sometimes the right thing to do is to let go & rest, which this week we did a fair bit of.
We hope you enjoy our video! You can watch it HERE!!
